Pentax launches orange version of WG-1
Unsatisfied with the current color choices for the PENTAX Optio WG-1 GPS camera? Well, we’ve got some good news for you. PENTAX has just announced that the Optio WG-1 GPS camera will soon be available in a new color choice: orange. Together with the other color choices for the WG-1 GPS (purple, black, green and gray) that brings the number of colors for this camera up to five.
Pentax has announced an addition of a new shiny orange version of the PENTAX Optio WG-1 GPS waterproof digital compact camera range. Every one of the five PENTAX Optio WG-1 models offers enhanced waterproof, shockproof, dustproof, coldproof and crushproof performance and features an inventive Digital Microscope mode with LED lighting to capture small but intriguing subjects.
Designed with the look of mountaineering equipment, each Optio WG-1 series kit includes a woven web fabric strap complete with a carabiner to attach the camera to a backpack and other outdoor gear. These rugged models offer photographic performance, innovative features and style that surpass other outdoor compact digital cameras now available on the market.
As with other GPS models, the orange WG-1 GPS functionality* tracks and records positional data recording with images for geo-tagging applications making it easy for users to check the shooting locations of captured images and link the data with PC-based maps.
The new Shiny Orange version was designed in response to demand from outdoor enthusiasts. Featuring a high-quality finish in brilliant-orange with an aluminium-alloy front panel, a gunmetal-grey rubber coating has also been applied to the edge of the camera body.
Along with its rugged characteristics, the WG-1 GPS has a 14 megapixel sensor, 5x wide-angle optical zoom lens, a 3 inch LCD screen, HD movie recording, macro shooting from 1cm and AF tracking.
