Buliding a Nehalem part 1 (Unboxing GigaByte EX58-UD5) I just bulit my new PC after 6 years (P4 – S478- 2.6Ghz,…)! Why S1366? – I figured out that the S775 socket configurations cheaper, but only about 30%. – the INTEL Core2 Quad Q9650 is more expensive (15%) but slower than the cheapest Core i7 – my S1366 configuation will be upgradeable in the long run. I think Q9650 was the last S775 CPU or one of the last ones. – Of course S1366 is the newest technology! ![]()

Buy a box of rubber gloves like mechanics use to reduce static
like medical gloves but thicker
I just bought parts for an i7 build and damn skippy use that strap and ANYTHING else you can dream up to prevent static
I will clear space on the bench in the garage to do this
concrete floor LOL

if you do your home work and compare them side by side like try newegg and you will see for your self they are identical boards the only difference is the heat sink that comes with the ud7 which is realy overkill and not needed only people who get that are people who want there rigs to look more then what they are or just for the flashy effect cause if you have the right enough fans and a good heat sink like artic cooling then it is not needed so as i said they are the same board

April 7th, 2011
lol.. the bored still works fine.. i did this vid so people can benefit from it geez.. not so they can tell me off for holding my own bored withouta static strap = but thats 4 tha comment!…Unbelievable
April 7th, 2011
Please drive down to radioshack, and buy yourself a grounding strap.
April 7th, 2011
This should be a video on how NOT to handle a motherboard. Even an imperceptible jolt of static electricity can ruin a board. Look at how he has his hand on the bottom of the board. No grounding strap. I wonder if he’s standing on a carpeted floor wearing rubber soled shoes… Unbelievable.

Yes, This is a ATX form factor board, and the NZXT ALPHA is ATX compatible.

April 7th, 2011

April 7th, 2011
can someone please let me know if this motherboard can be fitted and used in an NZXT ALPHA computer case?
April 7th, 2011
really that very odd. I have done three builds with this mb and i must say its very nice. OC like a monster and since they have released another updated bios that corrected the system temps and voltages it oc’s even better.
April 7th, 2011
2 case badges?
April 7th, 2011
just got mine
April 7th, 2011
i have no probs with this board and oc my i7920 runs @3,9ghz without any errors in prime 95 and the bios is one of the best i ever seen
April 7th, 2011
Very Cool!
I thought this’ll be the mainstream.
975 is very long future for me, because just the 950 is $1120. :-O
For this price you can buy a year old second hand Suzuki Burgman 400 bike.
April 7th, 2011
you do know the x58 will be for high end people in the long run right?
the “i5″ is going to be more mainstream
the 920,940,950 will end by this year and be left with 975 and the 6 core cpus
