Santa has Nokia N8 with latest version of Ovi Maps

Santa arrived at Nokia´s Headquarter in Espoo where Nokia Maps team helping Santa to prepare him for his most successful journey yet by fitting his sleight with a new Nokia N8 loaded with the newest versions of Ovi Maps. Read more: conversations.nokia.com

    @gosekinz yes…you are right. I went to Okinawa few days ago and found that the maps for Okinawa sucks. BUT then I switched to Satellite View and it works.
    IMO Ovi Maps is great for drive navigation because of its turn by turn instruction and mutli-language support. Google Maps is better for walk navigation.
    Nokia mobile phones are better than the others because I can use both Ovi and Google Maps on it. :)

    I hope his earpiece will be able to work in all that wind and traveling at the tremendous speed he does (650 miles per second by one person’s estimate)… or maybe he just teleports

    @chisinchai .. but the map resolution is really REALLY bad… sure it might show main streets and routes but thats it. the map file for the whole country is only 10MB!! it should be at least 10x that for street/house resolution.

    @TheHeavyHank Hey, Santa is famous for doing his world tour including the delivery of all gifts in 24 h on December 24. Now he is only preparing and doing a trial tour, which includes other engagements than gifts delivery. Follow him on Facebook Ovi by Nokia!

    @anyone asking about capacitive touch and gloves.

    The N8 ships with a stylus :)

    on another note.. Santa won’t be using Ovi Maps in Japan then :(

    There is a nice device for N8 to be used when you got the phone plugged in your TV through HDMI. :P

    As you might see, the gloves are very thin. When i use that type of gloves i also get response from the N8 touchscreen :)

    1:24 Too bad Santa has his gloves on while using a capacitive touchscreen. Maybe they are Santa’s special gloves ?
